Prayer Quilt Ministry

Since 1995, the St. Mary Prayer Quilt Ministry, formerly known as “Prayers & Squares” has been active in St. Mary Parish.  We are chapter #48 of Prayers & Squares International, a worldwide organization that currently has 1340 registered chapters.  Each chapter functions independently but follow the same 3 guidelines.  Our principal mission is to provide quilts for those in need of prayer.  We have provided 600+ quilts to date.  Since our early days, our membership and outreach has expanded to provide services to our church community.

All are welcome to participate, sewers or non-sewers alike.  We meet twice monthly September to June. First Fridays are informational meetings, Sew Tuesdays are hands on sewing either with machines or hand tying.  Both starting at 10am. Dates can be found on the church calendar.

Our Ministry also participates in the November church craft show, selling sewn items to help fund our outreach efforts.
