St. Mary, Our Lady of the Snows

While we believe that human life is infused with the sacramental goodness of God, the Catholic Church has defined seven sacraments - instituted by and through the life of Jesus Christ. It is through the experience of the sacramental ritual that we are infused with God’s grace. The Sacraments nourish and strengthen us as they express and build up our faith.

Confirmation increases and deepens the grace of Baptism, imprinting an indelible character on the soul.  Through the Sacrament of Confirmation we are asked to renew our baptismal promises and commit to living a mature life in the Christian faith.

Confirmation is celebrated in the spring for those enrolled in the second year of preparation sessions (generally 8th grade).  Parental, sponsor mentoring and coaching to assist with this sacrament is provided. Click here to view confirmation materials and forms.

Each student chooses a Confirmation sponsor that will help develop a faith relationship with the candidate.   As a Confirmation sponsor, you do have specific functions. The Church describes them as follows,  read more . . .

Confirmation for those enrolled in the RCIA Program is celebrated at Easter Vigil. Contact the Faith Formation office for more information.
