Health/Homebound Ministries

Card Ministry - (Arlene Loehr, Coordinator)

As we pray for those who are on our sick list, we also mail cards on a monthly basis.  Time commitment is about 90 minutes each month.

Communion to the Homebound - (Angelo Iaconelli, Coordinator)

Communion to West Hickory Haven, Medilodge, Huron Valley Hospital, American House, Riverside Retirement and the Homebound.  Ministers distribute communion to residents on a regular basis.  Ministers can also assist with a monthly mass and a weekly Rosary. Time commitment varies dependent on the number of Catholic residents, but is usually about 60-90 minutes each visit.  Ministers can schedule weekly or monthly.

Health Ministry - (Donna Binns-Gordon, Coordinators)

Health Ministers coordinate the health and wellness offerings of the parish.  They assist parishioners to live full abundant lives and promote the health and  wellness of the congregation in body, mind, and spirit. Time commitment varies throughout the year.  For more information, click here.

Meals on Wheels - (Greta Merandi, Coordinator)

Ministers deliver meals to the homebound one week each month.  A commitment of 90 minutes per week is needed to pick up and deliver the meals to various Milford residents. 

Red Cross Blood Drive - (Judy Vance, Christian Service Assistant)

In January and in May, St. Mary hosts a blood drive. Parishioners prepare food for the Red Cross workers, and assist with various activities throughout the day.
